The Job


The Marketplace Performance Analyst will be responsible for analysing and interpreting data from various online marketplaces, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to drive growth and optimise performance. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of online marketplace (mainly Amazon) dynamics, along with strong analytical and communication skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Data Collection & Analysis

    • Gather and analyse performance data from UK / EU and US marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, and others.

    • Develop and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators, sales trends, and customer feedback.

  2. Reporting & Insights

    • Produce regular reports on marketplace performance, PPC performance, highlighting areas of concern and opportunities for growth.

    • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure strategies align with data-driven insights.

  3. Optimisation & Strategy

    • Identify opportunities to optimise product listings, pricing, and promotional strategies based on marketplace trends and competitor analysis.

    • Support the launch of new products or entry into new marketplaces by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.

  4. Collaboration & Feedback

    • Work closely with customer service and operations teams to understand and address customer feedback and issues related to marketplace sales.

    • Share insights and collaborate with teams to ensure a consistent and positive customer experience across all marketplaces.

  5. Competitive Analysis

    • Monitor and report on competitor activities, pricing, and promotional strategies within the marketplace environment.

    • Stay updated on marketplace platform changes, trends, and best practices to ensure our strategies remain current.






Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Analytics, Marketing, or a related field.

  • 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, with specific expertise in online marketplaces.

  • Proficiency in analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Marketplace-specific analytics platforms, and Excel/Google Sheets.

  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to present complex data in a clear and actionable manner.

  • A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate changes and adapt strategies accordingly.
